Hepatitis C

Hepatitis C is a disease that affects your liver, caused by a virus called HCV (Hepatitis C virus). It usually spreads through contact with infected blood — like through shared needles or unsafe medical procedures. Most people don’t notice symptoms at first, but over time, it can seriously damage the liver and even lead to problems like liver failure or cancer. The good news is, with the right treatment, Hepatitis C can often be cured. There’s no vaccine yet, so the best way to stay safe is by avoiding risky contact with blood and following safe medical practices.
